In this video, apologist Justin Derby responds to a recent string of tweets from prominent atheist Matt Dillahunty, where Dillahunty makes the bold and unfounded claim that the Apostate Prophet—a well-known ex-Muslim who recently converted to Christianity—was never truly an atheist. Instead, Dillahunty suggests that Apostate Prophet merely pretended to be an atheist for 12 years before "coming out" as a Christian.

Justin explains why this accusation from Dillahunty is a textbook example of the No True Scotsman Fallacy, a logical error that tries to exclude someone from a group based on shifting goalposts and unfalsifiable standards. By refusing to acknowledge Apostate Prophet’s prior identity as an atheist simply because he later changed his beliefs, Dillahunty shows the very bias and irrational thinking that he often accuses others of.
